Welcome to the world of Kayson Cunningham, a rising baseball star who has been making waves not only in San Antonio but also internationally. This summer, Cunningham played a pivotal role in the U-18 USA Baseball Team’s victory at the World Cup Americas Qualifier in Panama.

As the starting shortstop for the team, Cunningham showcased his exceptional skills both defensively and offensively. With a remarkable batting average of .417, he contributed three doubles and 12 RBIs, ultimately earning him the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award. Additionally, he secured a spot on the all-tournament team, further solidifying his exceptional performance.

Following his success on the international stage, Cunningham is gearing up for his senior season at Johnson High School. He aims to lead the Jaguars back to the state tournament, building on their previous achievements. After graduation, he is set to continue his baseball journey at the University of Texas, although his plans may evolve as he is anticipated to be a first-round pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.
