Animal Care Services seeking temporary pet parents

Are you a pet lover looking to make a difference? San Antonio Animal Care Services needs your help as a temporary pet parent! Join us for our “Sit. Stay. Learn.” series of classes, where you can discover the how and the benefits of pet fostering.

Every week, hundreds of pets enter our shelter and they need time to decompress and adjust to life as a family pet before finding their forever homes. This is where pet fosters play a crucial role.

Our Animal Care Foster Orientation is a “people only” course that will provide you with all the information you need to know about fostering a shelter pet. Plus, you’ll learn about the perks of participating in our foster program, which includes free food and supplies.

During the orientation, you’ll discover the types of pets in greatest need of fosters and get tips on preparing your home for temporary canine or feline guests.

Whether you’re a new or prospective pet foster, we welcome you to join us. Please leave your companion animals at home during the orientation session.
