SAN ANTONIO – A local trading card store experienced a major setback over the weekend when it was targeted by robbers, resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, according to the store owner.
Joe Adam, the owner of TCG Exchange at BesTea Café in San Antonio, reported that the store was broken into around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Two individuals allegedly entered the store through a side window and managed to steal approximately $15,000 worth of merchandise in just eight minutes.
Surveillance footage from inside the store caught the thieves in the act, as they hurriedly filled black trash bags with stolen items before the authorities arrived.
Despite the unfortunate incident, Adam expressed gratitude towards the Pokémon community and loyal customers who have offered support during this challenging time.
