The Legend of Aaron Judge Continues: Hits 50th and 51st Homers in Same Game

Yankees slugger Aaron Judge made history on Sunday, hitting his 50th and 51st home runs of the season in the same game against the Colorado Rockies, leading his team to a spectacular 10-3 victory.

Judge’s milestone moment came in the first inning when he drove a 0-2 changeup from Austin Gomber into the visiting bullpen in left-center, giving the Yankees a 2-1 lead. This was his 18th homer in the first inning this season, matching a record set by Alex Rodriguez in 2001.

By achieving his third 50-homer season, Judge joined the elite company of Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and Babe Ruth. His consistency and power at the plate have solidified his place in baseball history.

Reflecting on his achievement, Judge said, “A great accomplishment but there’s still more to be done. This team’s got a big mission in front of them and we’re all focused on that right now.”

Manager Aaron Boone praised Judge’s performance, saying, “It’s just fun to watch him, first of all who he is and the teammate that he is, but then just his desire and obsession with just getting a little bit better each and every year. And that’s what we’re seeing.”

Judge’s electrifying display of power continued in the seventh inning when he connected for his 51st home run of the season against rookie Jeff Criswell. This marked his 39th career multihomer game and fifth of the season.

With seven homers in his last six games and 47 in his last 102, Judge shows no signs of slowing down. He is on pace for a remarkable 63 homers this season.

Teammate Giancarlo Stanton summed up Judge’s exceptional talent by stating, “He does something special every day.”

It seems that the legend of Aaron Judge is only growing stronger with each game, as he cements his place as one of baseball’s greatest sluggers.
