Join the 39th Annual Zoo Run at San Antonio Zoo!
If you’re a runner and animal lover, get ready to lace up your shoes and join in on the fun at the 39th Annual Zoo Run at the San Antonio Zoo this September!
This exciting event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, allowing participants to run alongside jaguars, bears, and alligators as they make their way through the zoo.
Runners have the option to register as a team of four for the relay, where each member will run 2.1 miles, or to register for the individual 4-mile race, consisting of two loops around the zoo.
Don’t forget to bring the little ones along for the Kids Zoo Run on Sept. 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.! Children ages 1 through 5 can participate in a .25-mile race, while children ages 6 through 11 can take part in a .5-mile relay. The races will be divided by age groups to ensure a fun and fair experience for all.
According to Tim Morrow, president and CEO of San Antonio Zoo, Zoo Run offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, enjoy beautiful scenery, see amazing animals, and contribute to important conservation initiatives.
All participants will receive a 2024 commemorative race T-shirt, a drawstring bag, a runner’s bib, and two standard admission tickets to the zoo for one adult and one child. Make sure to register by Aug. 25 to guarantee your shirt size!
Registration prices vary depending on the race. Tickets for the relay start at $40 until Aug. 25 and go up to $45 afterward. For the 4-mile race, prices start at $45 until Aug. 25 and increase to $50 on race day. Kids Zoo Run tickets are $40 until Sept. 6 and $50 on race day.
