Heartless Acts: Innocent Dogs Shot and Killed in San Antonio
San Antonio is reeling from the senseless deaths of two beloved pets over the weekend. Dog owners are grieving after their furry family members were tragically shot and killed in random acts of violence.
One owner, who wished to remain anonymous, shared their heartbreak over losing their two-year-old husky, Everest. The husky was a gentle soul who brought joy to everyone she met. The owner recalled how Everest would often visit a neighbor’s house to spread love and receive pets.
According to San Antonio police, the shooting took place in the 1000 block of West Mariposa late at night on Aug. 10. Surveillance footage captured a dark SUV pulling up in front of the home. Two individuals inside the vehicle aimed at the unsuspecting dog on the sidewalk, fired their weapons, and fled the scene.
Tragically, another dog met a similar fate just blocks away on Capitol Avenue. The owner of a 4-month-old German Shepherd, Rosie, recounted the horror of seeing their precious puppy shot while lying in her favorite spot in the yard.
Authorities suspect that the same perpetrators carried out both attacks. The community is outraged by these cruel acts of animal cruelty and is calling for justice. Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Antonio Police Department at 210-207-4181.
As the investigation continues, the devastated owners mourn the loss of their beloved companions, hoping that those responsible will be brought to justice for their heinous actions.
