SAN ANTONIO – Tragedy struck the community as a woman was found killed on an East Side walking trail, prompting a widespread yet targeted search for evidence the following day.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has tentatively identified the victim as a 63-year-old White woman.
This description aligns with Stacey Dramiga, 63, who went missing while walking along the Salado Greenway Trail.
Dramiga was last seen departing from Covington Park before disappearing on Sunday, only to be discovered deceased near Defoste Park the following day.
The unsettling incident has left residents like Judy Guajardo shocked and concerned about safety in the area where she frequents walks with her dog.
Guajardo shared her precautions, including carrying a weapon for protection, and emphasized the importance of walking in groups for added security.
She also stressed the significance of informing others about her whereabouts for added safety measures.
With law enforcement presence increasing in the area, residents hope for swift justice as the culprit remains at large.
