Woman in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a sedan early Thursday morning in San Antonio, according to police.

The incident took place around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Mission Road on the city’s South Side.

The woman was crossing the road when she was struck by the black sedan. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the car did stop to help, but was found to be intoxicated and was detained on suspicion of DWI.

Authorities including the San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS responded to the scene.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, according to police.
