White Sox end 12-game losing streak, beat Baltimore 8-1

The Chicago White Sox Snap 12-Game Losing Streak with 8-1 Victory over the Baltimore Orioles

BALTIMORE – The Chicago White Sox ended their 12-game losing streak with a convincing 8-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday night. Jonathan Cannon delivered a solid pitching performance, and the White Sox offense came to life with three home runs.

Nicky Lopez, Andrew Vaughn, and Dominic Fletcher all went deep for the White Sox, showing a glimpse of what the team is capable of. The victory improved their record to 32-109 this season, with hopes of avoiding a historic 120-loss season.

This win was crucial for the White Sox, who had suffered through three separate losing streaks of at least 12 games this season. Lopez set the tone by leading off the game with a homer, propelling his team to a much-needed victory.

Cannon’s strong performance on the mound was backed up by a potent offensive display. Interim manager Grady Sizemore praised the team’s effort, calling it a ‘fun’ game for the White Sox.

The Orioles, meanwhile, struggled to find their rhythm offensively, managing only one run against the White Sox. Albert Suárez took the loss on the mound for Baltimore, allowing six runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Vaughn and Fletcher’s homers proved to be the difference-makers in the game, as the White Sox surged ahead and never looked back. Luis Robert Jr. and Lenyn Sosa also contributed offensively, helping secure the win for Chicago.

The victory was a much-needed confidence booster for the White Sox, who will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming games. With the season winding down, every win counts as they strive to finish on a high note.
