Police Search for Suspects After West Side Resident Assaulted with Baseball Bat

The San Antonio Police Department is seeking suspects in connection with a violent burglary on the city’s West Side.

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department has launched an investigation after a 41-year-old man was assaulted with a baseball bat during a burglary on the city’s West Side.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of South Trinity Street late Saturday night, where they found the victim outside his residence with visible injuries.

Initial reports indicated that the suspects had entered the victim’s home, assaulted him, and fled the scene after seemingly shooting him. However, further examination revealed that the man had actually sustained blunt force trauma from being beaten with a baseball bat.

Fortunately, the victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening, and authorities are actively pursuing the case as a burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.
