West Side man killed in shootout with neighbor over noisy animals, SAPD report

Welcome to the latest news from San Antonio! In a tragic turn of events, one man lost his life after a heated argument over unruly animals escalated to gunfire.

According to San Antonio police, the incident took place late Saturday night in the 200 block of Balboa Street, near Castroville Road and South General McMullen Drive.

Witnesses reported that two neighbors, both men, were involved in a dispute outside their homes regarding noisy animals. The argument quickly turned violent, culminating in gunshots being fired.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they found a 33-year-old man lying in the street, tragically deceased. Another man, aged 71, had sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The San Antonio Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances of the incident to determine the aggressor and bring justice to the victim.
