Authorities in Bexar County, Texas, are investigating a heartbreaking incident that occurred early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

The tragic crash took place at approximately 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 87 eastbound and FM 1516.

Emergency responders from the China Grove Fire Department and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office were quick to arrive at the scene. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the location.

Fortunately, the driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Thankfully, no additional injuries were reported in connection with the tragic incident.
