Uvalde CISD Foundation receives M donation for new elementary school.

Welcome to Uvalde, Texas, where exciting developments are taking place in the education sector. The Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation is set to receive a generous $10 million donation for the construction of a new elementary school.

In addition to the $10 million donation, a $5 million matching grant has been pledged to the foundation. This means that every dollar donated to the ‘Hope Blooms in Uvalde” campaign will be matched, effectively doubling the impact of each contribution.

The district reports that the foundation has already raised over 80% of the required funds for the new school. With the $5 million matching grant and an additional $5 million in donations, the fundraising goal will be met, allowing construction to move forward smoothly.

Anticipated for completion in the fall of 2025, the new school will be located near Vickers Lane and Leona Road, adjacent to Dalton Elementary School. This state-of-the-art facility promises to provide a conducive environment for learning and growth for students in the Uvalde community.
