HELENE UPDATE

  • Landfall occurred at 11:10pm (EST) near Perry, Florida, with sustained winds at 140 mph

  • Three weather-related deaths reported, as a tornado threat continues

  • Helene has moved into Georgia and is quickly weakening, however heavy rainfall will cause flooding in Georgia and the Carolinas

Rainfall potential for the southeast over the next 3 days

SAN ANTONIO FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • Another great morning underway, with temperatures in the 50s and 60s

  • Dry air continues to bring us cool mornings and hot afternoons

  • The weekend will be warm, with highs in the mid-90s

FORECAST

It was a busy night for the southeastern states as Helene made landfall near Perry, Florida with sustained winds of 140 mph. The storm has moved into Georgia, bringing heavy rainfall and a tornado threat. While Helene weakens, flooding remains a concern for Georgia and the Carolinas.

Meanwhile in San Antonio, we can expect low humidity, cool mornings, and hot afternoons over the weekend. Temperatures will be in the mid-90s with clear skies.
