Trump threatens to deport migrants under Biden immigration plans

Former President Trump Threatens Massive Deportations if Re-elected

Former President Donald Trump, known for his strong anti-immigration stance, recently made a bold statement warning of mass deportations if he is re-elected. In a recent interview with Fox News, Trump vowed to remove hundreds of thousands of immigrants who have entered the country under two key Biden administration programs aimed at easing chaos at the southern border.

Trump criticized the immigration programs created by the Biden administration, which were meant to discourage migrants from seeking asylum directly at the border. He threatened to expel over 1 million people who have entered the U.S. under these programs, stating, “Get ready to leave because you’re going to be going out real fast.”

Throughout his campaigns, Trump has promised a tough crackdown on immigration, including mass deportations. Despite similar pledges in the past, deportations during his presidency never exceeded 350,000.

One of the Biden administration’s programs allows migrants at the Mexican-Guatemalan border to schedule asylum appointments via a smartphone app, with over 813,000 migrants using the system since its launch. Another program permits 30,000 people per month from selected countries to enter the U.S. through official channels.

While the Biden administration sees these programs as solutions to border chaos and human trafficking, Republicans argue that they circumvent immigration laws and admit unqualified individuals into the country. Legal challenges from Republican-led states have been filed to halt these policies.

Trump and his immigration advisor, Stephen Miller, have revealed plans to execute large-scale deportations if Trump secures a second term, including utilizing wartime powers and military assets. However, the feasibility of such an operation remains uncertain due to legal, logistical, and financial obstacles.
