PARIS – The music world was shaken when rapper Travis Scott made headlines for all the wrong reasons during his visit to Paris. French prosecutors confirmed that Scott was arrested at a hotel in the city after an altercation with a security guard.
Police were called to the Georges V hotel in the early hours of the morning to arrest the rapper known as Travis Scott for allegedly getting violent with a security guard, as reported by the Paris public prosecutor’s office.
The altercation reportedly took place between Scott and his own bodyguard, with the hotel security guard intervening. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
Travis Scott was in Paris to witness the Olympics and even attended the men’s basketball semifinal game where the U.S. team triumphed over Serbia. The rapper, born Jacques Webster, is a major name in the hip hop industry, with over 100 Billboard Hot 100 songs to his name and several chart-topping singles like “Sicko Mode” and “Highest in the Room.”
Aside from his musical success, Scott is also known for his relationships, including his two children with former girlfriend Kylie Jenner, a media personality and businesswoman.
