Titans QB Levis injures shoulder in 1st quarter vs. Dolphins

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Quarterback Will Levis of the Tennessee Titans had to leave Monday’s game against the Miami Dolphins due to a shoulder injury in the first quarter.

Levis sustained the injury while trying to extend a drive for the Titans early in the game. After the injury, Mason Rudolph took over as the backup quarterback for the remainder of the game.

Head Coach Brian Callahan, who earned his first win with the Titans, mentioned that while the injury doesn’t seem severe, Levis will undergo further tests to assess the extent of the damage. Despite attempting to return to the game, Levis was clearly in discomfort on the sideline.

Callahan decided to keep Levis out due to the impending bye week, not wanting to risk further injury to the quarterback.

Following his interception early in the game, Levis was replaced by Rudolph, who guided the Titans to victory with his solid performance.

Despite the setback, Callahan reiterated that Levis remains the starting quarterback for the Titans moving forward, once he has fully recovered from his injury.
