Teen shot 3 times near downtown apartment – police

SAN ANTONIO – A 16-year-old boy was the victim of a frightening incident on Wednesday night, as he was shot three times in an apartment parking lot just east of downtown, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. at the Olive Park Apartments in the 500 block of Burleson Street, not far from North Hackberry Street.

Reports suggest that the teenager was in the parking lot when two individuals inside a car approached him and began shooting. The shooters quickly fled the scene and are currently at large.

The young victim sustained two gunshot wounds to his body and one to his arm. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance. As of now, there is no update on his condition.

Authorities have not disclosed whether the victim had any connection to the assailants. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

San Antonio Police Department, along with the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS, promptly responded to the call for help.

An investigation into the shooting is currently underway, with law enforcement actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects.
