Exciting Capture in Castroville

The Medina County Sheriff’s Office successfully ended a manhunt on Saturday night with the arrest of a robbery suspect in Castroville, Texas.

Sheriff Randy Brown collaborated with the San Antonio Police Department along with the Texas Department of Public Safety and Castroville Police Department to capture the wanted suspect, Eric Rodriguez.

Rodriguez fled to Castroville on State Highway 90, crashed his vehicle in a neighborhood, and attempted to evade capture on foot. However, law enforcement officials were able to locate him hiding in a shed and took him into custody without any further incident.

Following his arrest, Rodriguez was transported to Medina County Jail, where charges will be filed against him by the City of Castroville. The investigation will be continued by the San Antonio Police Department.
