Exciting News from Stellantis!
Stellantis, the company behind popular brands like Jeep and Ram, is in search of a new CEO to succeed Carlos Tavares. While this may come as a surprise to some, the company assures us that it’s all part of a normal leadership succession plan.
Following a challenging first half of the year, during which the company faced issues with excess inventory and financial performance, Tavares has been under scrutiny from U.S. dealers and the United Auto Workers union.
Having taken the helm of Stellantis after the merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 2021, Tavares has navigated the company through a period of significant change in the automotive market, particularly in North America.
In a recent statement, Stellantis confirmed that Tavares’ current contract is set to expire in 2026, prompting the board to consider potential successors. However, the company emphasized that Tavares may continue in his role for longer than anticipated.
