SAPD says car towed with child in backseat

SAN ANTONIO – A shocking incident unfolded on Monday on the North Side of San Antonio when a woman’s car was towed with her young daughter still inside the vehicle.

According to a San Antonio police officer at the scene, the car was towed from an apartment complex to Trinity Towing in the 11500 block of Jones Maltsberger Road.

As the car was being towed, the child’s mother managed to alert the authorities by calling the police from a nearby H-E-B to report the alarming situation.

Quick action was taken, and police swiftly contacted the tow company to ensure that the vehicle with the child inside was intercepted.

Fortunately, the woman and her daughter were reunited shortly after at the tow company’s premises, bringing a sense of relief to the concerning situation.

The police officer emphasized that tow trucks are strictly prohibited from towing a vehicle if there is an occupant inside, prompting further questions about why the car was towed in the first place.
