SAN ANTONIO – Godai Sushi Bar and Restaurant will be bidding farewell to its patrons on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Owner William “Goro” Pitchford shared the news of the closure on Facebook, expressing his gratitude to loyal customers and staff.
Pitchford revealed that the challenges of this year have taken a toll on him both mentally and physically, leading to the difficult decision to close the beloved eatery.
Since its opening in 2005, Godai Sushi Bar and Restaurant has been a popular destination for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts, offering a diverse menu of sushi, spring rolls, and fried rice.
Situated on West Avenue, Pitchford plans to lease out the kitchen and restaurant space moving forward.
Despite the closure, Pitchford reassured customers that he will continue to provide updates through the restaurant’s Facebook page.
In a heartfelt message, Pitchford thanked his dedicated employees for their hard work and contributions to Godai Sushi Bar and Restaurant.
