KYIV – In a harrowing turn of events, Russian forces launched a devastating drone and missile attack on Ukraine in the early hours of Monday, hitting multiple regions across the country, according to the Ukrainian air force.
This onslaught, commencing around midnight and still ongoing, is being described as one of the largest in recent weeks, directly targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Reports from the air force indicate that various groups of Russian drones were observed advancing towards eastern, northern, southern, and central regions of Ukraine, followed by a barrage of cruise and ballistic missiles.
The city of Kyiv was not spared from the chaos, as explosions reverberated through the capital, leading to disruptions in power supply in certain areas, as confirmed by officials.
