SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a mysterious shooting incident that occurred on the city’s West Side early Friday morning.
Authorities were alerted around 10:45 a.m. to the 1900 block of West Laurel Street, in close proximity to Culebra Road and North Zarzamora Street, following reports of a man being injured.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 30s with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim was shot while sitting, however, he has been uncooperative with investigators, providing limited information about the incident.
Police stated that no vehicles were observed fleeing the scene.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance and is expected to recover.
The San Antonio Police Department, San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all responded to the incident.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, according to authorities.
