Police: Man shot in head during East Side home altercation

SAN ANTONIO – A quiet evening on the East Side of San Antonio was shattered by violence late Sunday night when a man was shot in the head at a home on Belinda Lee Street.

Authorities received a distressing call around 9:45 p.m. about a person being wounded in the area. When officers arrived at the residence in the 4600 block of Belinda Lee Street, they discovered a man in his 50s suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Initial reports suggest that the shooting was the result of a heated altercation regarding residency in the house, but strangely, only the victim was present when law enforcement arrived. The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance, and thankfully, his condition has stabilized.

The San Antonio Police Department, along with the Fire Department and EMS, all swiftly responded to the emergency call, showcasing the city’s commitment to keeping its residents safe.

The investigation into this unsettling incident is ongoing, as authorities work tirelessly to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Stay tuned for updates as the story develops.
