SAN ANTONIO – Tragedy struck in a Walmart parking lot on the South Side as 37-year-old Rudy Vallejo fell victim to a fatal shooting on Tuesday, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The ME’s office confirmed that Vallejo succumbed to a gunshot wound, with 70-year-old Michael Wayne Ludwig facing murder charges in connection to the incident.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Ludwig, who was allegedly either sleeping or residing in his truck in the parking lot, got into a heated argument with Vallejo before fatally shooting him with two gunshots.
The tragic death of Vallejo has been classified as a homicide, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
