If you’re planning a trip to Pedernales Falls State Park this summer, make sure you’re prepared for the heat!
Officials at the park have conducted over 23 heat-related rescues since the beginning of summer, with an additional nine rescues for overheated dogs. It’s crucial to take precautions to avoid heat-related issues.
A recent post on the park’s Facebook page showcased ground temperatures at various locations in the park, reaching up to 157.4 degrees in the sand!
