CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The sunny beaches of Corpus Christi turned tragic for two men on a fateful Sunday, as officials rushed to the scene at Beach Marker 195 on Mustang Island in response to a surfing-related emergency. The peaceful waves quickly turned deadly as three young men found themselves in distress in the unforgiving waters.
Reports from KRIS 6 News indicated that two of the men were successfully rescued, but the fate of the third hung precariously in the balance.
Tragically, one man was unresponsive upon being pulled from the water, while the other clung to consciousness. Both were swiftly transported to a local hospital, with hopes of a miraculous recovery. However, according to 3NEWS, the unresponsive man succumbed to the harsh waters.
The search for the missing man ended tragically when his lifeless body washed ashore in the early hours of Monday morning, as reported by 3NEWS.
