Memphis man confesses to murdering rapper Young Dolph

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A shocking revelation emerged on Monday as a Memphis man took the stand and testified about the shooting incident involving well-known rapper Young Dolph. The man claimed that the hit on Young Dolph was orchestrated by Big Jook, the brother of rapper Yo Gotti.

Cornelius Smith disclosed that he and Justin Johnson were the individuals captured on surveillance footage outside a Memphis cookie store, where they fatally shot Young Dolph in broad daylight.

This testimony came on the first day of Johnson’s trial, where he faces charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and illegal possession of a firearm. Smith himself is also implicated in the case.

The trial took a dramatic turn as Johnson’s attorney, Luke Evans, urged the jury to question Smith’s credibility, claiming that Smith was attempting to exonerate himself. Evans argued that Johnson was innocent and should not be judged based on resemblance to the person in the video footage.

According to Deputy District Attorney Paul Hagerman, Young Dolph, also known as Adolph Thornton Jr., was a determined artist striving for success independently. His refusal to work with rival music label Cocaine Muzic Group led to animosity, culminating in the fatal shooting.

The tragic incident involving Young Dolph, who had previously survived multiple shooting attempts, sheds light on the dark side of the music industry and the perils faced by artists.

The trial continues to unravel the complex web of events leading to the untimely demise of a rising star in the rap scene.

This tragic saga serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by artists striving for success in a competitive and often dangerous industry.

As the trial unfolds, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the motives behind the fateful shooting of Young Dolph and the individuals involved.

The legacy of Young Dolph, his music, and his impact on the rap scene will continue to resonate, even as justice is sought for his untimely death.

Stay tuned as the trial progresses, unfolding more revelations in this tragic tale of betrayal and violence that rocked the music world.
