SAN ANTONIO – Mark Curtis was unloading equipment from his vehicle on May 17 when a stranger approached him from behind and assaulted him.

Surveillance video shows Curtis and the man scuffling in Curtis’ garage before the man takes off.

Mark’s wife, Yvonne Curtis, recounted the incident to KSAT, describing how the man also threw a large rock at their parked car.

San Antonio police records reveal that officers were investigating prior incidents involving the same man in the neighborhood.

The man, who remains unidentified, has an intellectual disability and has been involved in several altercations in the area.

Advocates emphasize the importance of community integration and support for individuals with disabilities to prevent isolation and promote self-confidence.
