SAN ANTONIO – In a shocking incident on the city’s West Side, a man was wounded in the leg during an apparent drive-by shooting at a home overnight, as reported by San Antonio police.
The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Adaes Avenue, near Culebra Road and Woodlawn Lake.
Upon arrival, officers found the man with two gunshot wounds in his leg. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he is expected to recover.
The victim was innocently inside his own home when the shooting occurred. Investigating authorities later discovered shell casings scattered on the street.
San Antonio Police Department disclosed that they currently do not possess a detailed description of the vehicle or the shooter involved. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
The emergency response team, including the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS, promptly reacted to the distress call for assistance.
The investigation into this unfortunate event is currently ongoing, according to police sources.
