Tragic Shooting Incident on the Northeast Side of San Antonio Leaves One Dead
SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE: The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting on the Northeast Side as Miguel Angel Garza, 32. Garza succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, with his death being ruled a homicide by the office.
ORIGINAL STORY: Tragedy struck on the Northeast Side of San Antonio as one person was killed and another hospitalized after a shooting incident, according to San Antonio police.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 6400 block of Interstate 35 North.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
One victim, tragically, succumbed to his injuries on the scene after being shot multiple times in the stomach, as reported by the police.
The second victim sustained injuries to his arm and potentially other parts of his body, according to SAPD. Although he was unable to provide much information, he was able to communicate with officers.
A trail of blood led police to one of the victims, who eventually collapsed on the ground.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police have detained one individual for further questioning.
