Man dies after being hit by truck on Northwest Side, per SAPD

A tragic incident occurred on the Northwest Side of San Antonio, where a man lost his life after being struck by a truck. The collision took place at approximately 7:50 p.m. in the 8600 block of Huebner Road.

According to San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), the victim was not using a crosswalk when attempting to cross the street, and the poor lighting conditions in the area may have played a role in the accident.

The driver of the truck involved in the crash stayed at the scene and showed no signs of being under the influence. Witnesses reported that the driver was staying in his lane and only noticed the victim on the road moments before the impact.

Despite efforts by emergency responders to save the victim’s life, he was pronounced dead at the scene. SAPD revealed that there were suspicions of intoxication based on the victim’s breath, but the matter is still under investigation.

As of now, the victim’s identity remains unknown, adding to the sorrow of this unfortunate incident that has left a community in mourning.
