Manchester City Midfielder Rodri Suffers Knee Injury

MANCHESTER – Manchester City midfielder Rodri has been dealt a blow with the news that he has ligament damage in his right knee, the club confirmed on Wednesday. The Spain international, who is in the running for this year’s Ballon d’Or award, sustained the injury during the recent 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

City’s official statement revealed that Rodri traveled to Spain for further consultation with specialists to assess the extent of the injury and determine a prognosis. Manager Pep Guardiola has expressed that he anticipates Rodri will be out for an extended period.

This setback comes as a significant concern for City’s title aspirations this season, as Rodri plays a pivotal role in the team’s defensive structure and passing game.

Stay tuned for updates on Rodri’s recovery and City’s plans to cope with his absence.
