SAN ANTONIO – A shocking incident unfolded at a boxing watch party in San Antonio, where a 7-year-old girl and her father were shot.
The ordeal took place in the early hours of Sunday on Bratton Drive, near Marbach Road. A domestic disturbance at the party escalated, prompting a call for help from a 29-year-old woman. This plea attracted the attention of 24-year-old John Alderete, who stepped in and got into an altercation with a 31-year-old man.
Alderete escalated the situation further by pulling out a gun and firing a shot in the direction of the 31-year-old man, who happened to be his neighbor. Tragically, the bullet struck the man in the arm and unintentionally hit the young girl in her chest. Both victims were rushed to the hospital, with the girl in critical condition.
