SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a man accused of committing acts of indecency with a child several years ago. Gabriel Reyes, aged 48, was arrested without any issues.
According to reports from the sheriff’s office, Reyes voluntarily reached out on July 9 and confessed to the accusations made against him by a child victim who had disclosed being inappropriately touched a few years back.
A press release stated that deputies discovered Reyes was already under investigation by Child Protective Services on July 9. The victim informed authorities that Reyes not only carried out the indecent acts but also engaged in communication through multiple text messages. Subsequent digital evidence obtained on Thursday corroborated the victim’s account.
Reyes has been detained at Bexar County Jail and faces charges of indecency with a child, a second-degree felony offense.
