A recent decision by a state district court judge in Bexar County denied a request by Attorney General Ken Paxton to block the county’s plan to mail voter registration forms to residents ahead of the November election. The judge ruled the request was moot, as the forms had already been mailed out.
Bexar County officials defended their actions, stating that the forms had already been sent and received by eligible individuals. Deputy Chief Ryan Kercher from the attorney general’s office expressed concerns about ineligible people registering to vote as a result of the plan.
