Israeli Forces Kill 9 Palestinians in West Bank RaidsOther Headlines:

Palestinian health officials reported that Israeli forces took the lives of nine Palestinians in two separate raids within the occupied West Bank. These incidents unfolded as the Israeli military engaged in operations across various cities simultaneously.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed two fatalities in Jenin and seven in Tubas early on Wednesday. Among the deceased were Qassam Muhammad Jabarin, 25, and Asem Walid Balout, 39, both from Jenin.

While the Israeli military acknowledged conducting operations in Jenin and Tulkarem, details were scarce. Palestinian militant groups claimed clashes with Israeli forces. Governor Kamal Abu al-Rub of Jenin expressed on Palestinian radio that Israeli forces had encircled the city, restricting movement in and out, access to medical facilities, and damaging infrastructure within the area.

Since the commencement of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Palestinian health officials estimate that over 600 Palestinians have lost their lives in the West Bank. Most casualties resulted from Israeli incursions into Palestinian territories to target militant factions.

The recent events follow the Israeli military’s successful rescue of a hostage abducted during a Hamas attack on October 7. Qaid Farhan Alkadi, 52, was freed in a complex operation in the southern Gaza Strip, according to military reports.
