Suspected Home Burglar Arrested After San Antonio Homeowner Shoots Him
Early Thursday morning, a suspected home burglar was arrested and taken to a hospital after a homeowner in San Antonio shot him, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. in the 2300 block of Hicks Avenue, where officers responded to a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, authorities found a homeowner who reported that he had fired at the suspected burglar, as stated in a preliminary police report.
Although officers initially could not locate the suspect, a man in a detached garage on Vanderbilt Street, in a different block, notified the police that he had been shot on Hicks Avenue.
The suspect was apprehended and taken to a hospital for treatment of his gunshot wounds, which were deemed non-life-threatening.
It is unclear at this time whether the homeowner or the suspect will face charges in connection with the incident.
