Tragic Accident Leaves One Dead and One Injured in San Antonio

A woman is dead, and a man is injured following a crash Thursday morning, according to San Antonio police.

The incident occurred when a man in his 60s was driving south on Babcock Road near St. Cloud and accidentally struck a woman who was in the middle of the street.

Despite the man’s efforts to help the woman, tragedy struck again when another car hit both of them while they were on the road.

Regrettably, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the man was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the second car fled the scene, but the San Antonio Police Department is actively searching for them and plans to press charges once apprehended.

The identity of the deceased woman remains unknown, and investigators have confirmed she was not using a designated crosswalk when the initial collision occurred.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter to gather more details and information about the tragic event.
