Head for the Cure 5K comes back to the Alamo City

SAN ANTONIO – Get ready to hit the pavement for the 11th Annual Head for the Cure 5K run/walk.

The event’s proceeds will go towards advancing brain cancer research in the mission to find a cure.

Our very own KSAT anchor, Stephanie Serna, will be hosting the event, making it even more special to us here at KSAT.

We lace up our shoes in memory of our beloved late News Director, Jim Boyle, who lost his battle to Glioblastoma brain cancer in 2014.

Jim’s spirit lives on within the walls of KSAT, serving as a constant inspiration to all of us.

The 5K race is set to kick off on September 28, 2024, at 8 a.m. at Providence Catholic School, right outside the KSAT 12 studios on 1215 North St. Mary’s Street.
