Vice President Kamala Harris Proposes Tax Incentive Expansion for Small BusinessesConclusion

Vice President Kamala Harris is using a campaign stop in New Hampshire to propose an expansion of tax incentives for small businesses, aiming to encourage entrepreneurship without imposing higher taxes on wealthy individuals or large corporations.

Harris plans to increase tax incentives for small business startup expenses from $5,000 to $50,000, with the goal of generating 25 million new small business applications over the next four years. She is making this announcement during her visit to the Portsmouth area, which sits across the Piscataqua River from Maine.

Although New Hampshire has traditionally voted blue in recent presidential elections, this trip could also influence neighboring Maine where electoral votes are split. Harris has mainly focused on battleground states that are crucial for the upcoming election, such as Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, key components of the “blue wall” strategy that has proven successful for Democrats in the past.

With President Joe Biden backing her as his successor, Harris has concentrated her efforts on states that were narrowly won by Biden in 2020, like Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia. She is also pushing to flip North Carolina from its current Republican status.

Harris’s proposed plan for small businesses has garnered positive reactions within the business community. However, it contrasts with another recent proposal focused on addressing inflation by combating “price gouging” from food producers.

Harris’s campaign centers around the growth and strengthening of the middle class, advocating for fair tax contributions from wealthy individuals and large corporations.

Despite Trump’s attempts to capitalize on New Hampshire’s primary process, Harris’s campaign in the state has been active, with 17 field offices currently operational in collaboration with the state Democratic party.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Vice President Kamala Harris’s proposed tax incentive expansion for small businesses showcases her commitment to fostering entrepreneurship without burdening the wealthy or large corporations with increased taxes. Her strategic campaign approach focuses on key battleground states while emphasizing policies that resonate with the middle class.
