Hey there! The weekend is finally here, and it’s time to make some exciting plans for you and your family.

This weekend, why not attend a fun concert? Be sure to capture your moments and share them on KSAT Connect. If you’re looking for wallet-friendly activities, consider attending free outdoor movie screenings or playing pickleball at Hemisfair with your loved ones.

Remember that some school districts have resumed classes, while others will start next week. Nonetheless, you can still find places offering back-to-school giveaways this weekend.

Here’s a list of events to include in your weekend plans:

Events happening over the weekend:

  • CANDLE-MAKING EXPERIENCE: “Sailor Moon” fans can
book a session at Mission Crafts Chandlery to create a unique candle using a selection of “Sailor Moon” themed vessels inspired by the Sailor Guardians throughout the weekend. Add glitter candle dyes and gemstones to give your candle some style. A “Sailor Moon” cosplay contest will also take place from 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 17, with a chance to win prizes including tickets to San Japan. Located at 1010 S. Flores St. #106.

  • MISSION KAYAK: Rent a kayak at the Museum Reach, just north of downtown near the Pearl District. Rentals are available every Saturday and Sunday until Oct. 27. Reserve a rental
    here.

  • SEAWORLD SAN ANTONIO FOOD FESTIVAL: SeaWorld San Antonio is hosting the “Red, White and BBQ: Tastes of America” festival, featuring five different kinds of barbecue from across the country every weekend until Sept. 2.
