SAN ANTONIO – Shocking allegations have emerged against a former instructional assistant at Connally Middle School in San Antonio. Jacob Hallam, 20, has been indicted on charges of violently assaulting a student with a disability, including inappropriate touching and forcing the girl to touch him inappropriately. The incidents occurred over a four-week period earlier this year.
Hallam, who resigned from Northside Independent School District amidst investigations, was arrested following the indictment. The charges against him have escalated, now including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and indecency with a child-sexual contact.
The victim, a non-verbal girl with autism, suffered physical and sexual abuse at the hands of Hallam. The incidents, spanning nine days, involved choking, shaking, striking, and other violent acts.
Hallam’s actions were brought to light after the girl’s parents raised concerns to the school, leading to investigations by multiple agencies. He is now facing serious legal consequences for his reprehensible behavior.
