The San Antonio Police Department is on the lookout for the driver of a vehicle suspected of hitting a pedestrian who tragically passed away on Saturday night.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was struck by a white Jeep while in the middle of a lane around 8:45 p.m. in the 5000 block of Fredericksburg Road. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the white Jeep stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation. However, investigators also discovered parts from a second unidentified vehicle that may have been involved in the incident prior to the white Jeep.

If apprehended, the driver of the second vehicle could face charges related to a fatal collision.
