SAN ANTONIO – Early Thursday morning, a house fire broke out on the city’s South Side, displacing three residents. The San Antonio Fire Department responded to the incident, which occurred in the 200 block of McCauley Boulevard.
Firefighters received the call around 2:30 a.m. and arrived to find the home engulfed in flames and smoke. The intense fire caused the roof to collapse and even knocked down a power line on a fire truck at the scene.
Despite the heavy damage to the home, the three occupants managed to escape unharmed. The quick response of the firefighters helped contain the blaze before it could spread further.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. The San Antonio Fire Department, along with the Police Department and EMS, all worked together to manage the situation.
No official estimate of the damages has been provided at this time as authorities work to assess the extent of the destruction. The safety of the residents remains the top priority as they deal with the aftermath of the fire.
