Lights, camera, action! Get ready for some Hollywood magic hitting downtown San Antonio as the filming of a Paramount+ show, “1923,” a prequel to “Yellowstone,” takes over the city streets. Several closures will be in place to ensure the smooth production of this exciting new series.

Starting the week of September 16, 2024, expect closures along Broadway between Pecan and Houston Streets, including E. Travis St. & Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St. Delays are expected, so plan your route accordingly as you navigate through these filming zones.

Here’s a breakdown of the closures:

– September 6-15: Streets and sidewalks open.
– September 19-25: Sidewalks open, with road closures on Broadway from E. Pecan St. to E. Travis St.
– September 20-24: Sidewalks open, except on September 23, with road closures on Broadway from E. Pecan St. to E. Houston St., E. Travis St. from Jefferson to N. Alamo St., and Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
– September 23: Full closure of streets and sidewalks on Broadway between E. Pecan St. and E. Houston St., E. Travis St. from Jefferson to N. Alamo St., and Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
– September 27, 2024: Filming closure area fully restored, and all services resume normal operations.

Businesses in the area will remain open and accessible, with accommodations made by the production team. After filming is completed, sidewalks are estimated to reopen by the afternoon.

Don’t miss this historic moment as the production of “1923” brings a full-circle experience to San Antonio, a century after the iconic movie “Wings” was filmed in the city.

Prepare for this cinematic event, and stay tuned for more updates on the filming closure and potential detour map. Get ready to step into the world of “1923” as San Antonio transforms into a Hollywood set!
