The Miami Dolphins Place Tua Tagovailoa on Injured Reserve After Third Concussion

The Miami Dolphins have made the tough decision to place quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve after he was diagnosed with his third concussion in just two years. This news comes from a reliable source familiar with the situation, as reported by The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Tagovailoa is expected to be sidelined for at least four games due to this designation. The injury occurred in the third quarter of a recent game against the Buffalo Bills, when he collided with Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin. Despite immediately showing signs of a traumatic brain injury, Tagovailoa continued to play until he was eventually sidelined.

Having suffered two concussions already in 2022 and another while in college at Alabama, Tagovailoa is taking his health seriously by consulting with neurologists this week. This latest setback will undoubtedly impact both him and the team’s performance moving forward.
