BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County community is mourning the loss of one of its own, Sgt. Timothy Williams, a dedicated sheriff’s deputy who tragically passed away after experiencing a medical emergency while on duty.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Aug. 17 at the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway and Canyon Gulf Road, where Sgt. Williams fell ill suddenly during a routine traffic stop.
Emergency Medical Services personnel responded swiftly, providing initial treatment on the scene before rushing Williams to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Tragically, despite the best efforts of medical staff, Sgt. Williams succumbed to his condition a week later, leaving behind a legacy of 32 years of dedicated service to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Joining the agency in October 1991, Williams rose through the ranks to become a respected patrol supervisor assigned to the East Patrol division.
