Daddy Yankee to Release Inspirational Memoir in 2025

NEW YORK – Latin music sensation Daddy Yankee, known as the Grammy award-winning “King of Reggaeton,” is set to release his memoir “ReaDY! The Power To Change Your Story” in both English and Spanish in April 2025. The 48-year-old rapper, who rose from the housing projects in Puerto Rico to achieve global fame with hits like “Gasolina” and “Somos de Calle,” hopes to inspire readers with his personal journey.

In a statement, Daddy Yankee, born Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, expressed his excitement about the book, saying, “ReaDY is a book where I share many personal experiences, life testimonies, and lessons I have learned through my walk here on Earth. I hope it will bring you many blessings.”

Having retired last year to focus on his religious faith, Daddy Yankee’s memoir will offer a unique insight into his life and career. With multiple Latin Grammy and Billboard Music Awards to his name, he continues to be a source of inspiration for millions worldwide.

Cris Garrido, a vice president and publisher of HarperCollins’ Spanish-language publishing, praised Daddy Yankee’s storytelling abilities, stating, “The storytelling is rich and captivating, and he does a wonderful job of drawing from his own experiences and life lessons to show readers of all walks of life that we each have the power to change our stories.”
